Time to make those resolutions…..
Well this is the last day of the year 2007. A great time for a little reflection on what went right and what went wrong. Even better what we might do different next year.
If you need help here are some ideas for 2008.
1. Eat right. Try to NOT […]

Congress Says so…………..
Yes, it is true. In God We Trust had been banished to the fringe (edge) of our new dollar coins that nobody ever sees much of anyway. Well, after a LOT of deliberation, this issue (issue?) has moved to the forefront and a new law requires the famous motto to move […]

I don’t know about you, BUT I DON’T WANT to VOTE FOR ANY of these CANDIDATES, Democrap or Republican.
In fact, as I have wondered before, will we act like sheep and follow the lead of Iowa and New Hampshire?
Every day it seems like we are being bombarded with abnormal news spin on […]

A lot of people seem to worry about cholesterol. They take drugs like Lipitor and the like. It seems so crazy. A decade ago I was told I had high cholesterol. The doctor wanted me to take Crestor or Lipitor or something.
Anyway, this got me started on researching nutrition. My research left me […]

As I have said before I am not a religious person per se. However, I do appreciate what various religions teach us on how to behave. The Ten Commandments for example. I am not so sure about the burning bush, but those commandments seem ok, with perhaps the ones about coveting a little troublesome.

No matter how you cut this primary season, if you are honest about it you have to come to the conclusion American voters may behave like a bunch of sheep. What I mean is they tend to go with momentum and a perceived winner unless the candidate is simply offensive, like Hillary.
So the […]

It’s all about kids!
I have said before, my issue with this topic has to do with money. It seems to easy to commit fraud with just a blanket new law. After all I can "marry" my best friends’ son and thereby give him rights to my social security for the next 50 years or […]

Why do we only hear bad things about global warming. Aren’t there any good things? Could it be because you are being manipulated? Already you are hereby ordered to use dangerous mercury filled florescent light bulbs, yours and mine high powered sports and muscle cars have just been outlawed, and trust me you are […]

Man does the Republican party need to coalesce. This Huckabee boom will soon bust, it will be just like Fed Thompson. Everybody ran to him until they learned more and then fled. The same will happen here with the Huckster.
More importantly why is this happening? I think it is because […]

Finally, our lawmakers have banned incandescent light bulbs. These will be replaced by mercury filled CFL’s for which we have no disposal program. Never mind, the fact that they won’t work in your outdoor fixtures in the winter. Never mind they cost 6x as much to purchase. Never Mind the government is watching […]

There is no way this guy can win the presidency. He is soft on immigration, even softer on science, and a religious zealot. He will bring out democrats like no one else.! In fact he may be Hillary’s only chance.
Watch this ad. His answer to the border is to put Chuck Norris on […]

This is not some revolutionary technology or breakthrough of any kind. In fact, it is the ORIGINAL societal energy resource. Except only now do we have the technologies to scale it up.
GEOTHERMAL ENERGY is the Answer! Throughout history mankind has leveraged this whenever possible. It is used to heat homes, relax in […]

After years of being the spoiler of legislation, now you say the American People are losing when you get forced to fund the troops. Actually, while you waste so much time on losing things or not getting anything done, the people of Nevada are the real losers. Le’s hope they never forget…Tom Daschle!

So now we here he raised $ 6 million in a day. On the surface he sounds great. Never votes for new taxes. Beleives in much smaller government and lower federal spending.
Problem is he is a hard core pacifist, perhaps further left than the left of the democratic party. He makes Nevile Chamberlain […]

I will not likely give up posting on energy any time soon. only because I find the media and political coverage so disgusting. Don’t get me wrong I think many of these ideas have potential. Always keep in mind a concept called load factor, or does it work all the time.

So if you are not yet outraged by these topics, I hope you will be by the time I am done.
First, has anyone noted that the media is not replacing the term "global warming" with the term "climate change". i first noticed it in Australia a year ago, there the change was […]

I think this years’ politics is in fact our much awaited National Health Care. After all, they say laughter is the best medicine, well anybody who follows politics will ever get sick again!
First, let’s all breathe a sigh of relief over the decline of Hillary. Imagine inviting THAT WOMAN (sorry Bill) into your […]

Here I go. This is no doubt part of my endless set of diatribes on energy. I am a physicist by education, with emphasis on nuclear physics to boot.
In Silicon Valley "Green Energy" is becoming all the rage amongst the investment community elite. Trust me the term "Green" does not refer to […]

I know this sounds ludicrous but….in visiting with many of my friends kids playing it, I cannot help but notice this game. In fact, I recently heard Cream on the game which brought back my childhood!

Ok I confess I live in Las Vegas. Candidly the proposed nuclear waste depository here is a great opportunity. If it were me, I would pass a myriad of state laws to insure we made the rest of America pay a gazillion dollars to us for a problem we didn’t create. But then they […]

Recently the U.S. House of Representatives voted to recognize Islam as one of the great religions of the world. Many at the same time refused a similar amendment relating to Christianity. Learn more about Islam with this book. It is a very easy read, and more importantly clearly describes women’s rights in this religion. MUST […]

Now there is a furor over the destruction of CIA tapes of interrogation. I am so disappointed in the leaders of the CIA and Bush administration for cowering over this. Of course the tapes were destroyed. If they hadn’t been destroyed, by now we and our enemies would be watching them on YouTube.
Let’s […]

Not that big O!
I am talking about Oprah and Obama! This election cycle is sure frustrating. Normally I just vote for whomever I think is most likely to let me keep as much of my money as possible. Unfortunately, even the republicans have become big government, big spending “guys”. Now it is not so […]

This blog is intended as a public service. I don’t think anyone appreciates how dangerous the mercury in these things can be. I am reprinting guidelines on what to do if you break one. We have seen a relentless rise in the price of oil and related energy during the last few years. This is not due to some conspiracy on the part of Oil companies, nor is it due to OPEC, it is simply due to economics. Specifically, the laws of supply and demand.
